The Halls Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 63-62 to Anderson County. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Halls' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaiden Stanton, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Stanton continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Holmes, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Halls' lineup was just a bit different on Friday as Stanton got a bit more time on the court (26 vs. his season average of 13.11). Stanton made the most of the opportunity, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Halls' loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Anderson County, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.
Halls does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Anderson County also has no future games currently scheduled.
