Soccer Recap: South Sumter Plays to a Tie

On Thursday, neither the South Sumter Raiders nor the Tavares Bulldogs could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Jazmine Vela and Jamily Cruz scored both of South Sumter's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

With that draw, South Sumter's record moves to 3-6-3. As for Tavares, they moved theirs to 2-5-1.

South Sumter wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Belleview on the 13th. Tavares and Leesburg will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
