Volleyball Recap: Bellflower Has No Trouble Against Gahr

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sonora, Bellflower was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Gahr Gladiators as the Bellflower Buccaneers made off with a 3-0 victory. The Buccaneers haven't had any issues with the Gladiators recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

While Bellflower might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Gahr scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-21.

Johan Canedo paced Bellflower's offense, picking up 18 kills. Canedo got some help from Aydan Flores and his 34 assists. Flores was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Bellflower's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Gahr, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Bellflower will be playing in front of their home fans against Santa Fe at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Bellflower is facing Santa Fe at the right time seeing as Santa Fe is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Gahr, they are taking a road trip to take on Downey at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
