St. John proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by seven) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Bishop Ireton Cardinals 2-1. That's more bragging rights for St. John's, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Addison Kafele and Mia Arnold scored both of St. John's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

St. John's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Bishop Ireton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. John's will face off against rival Our Lady of Good Counsel at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bishop Ireton is set to challenge their familiar foe Elizabeth Seton at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
