Jackson (Ala.) received a huge boost from its defense against Sumter Central (York, Ala.), as the unit scored 12 in defeating Sumter Central (York, Ala.), 64-6.
After taking the lead on a
Ladarious Bowe touchdown run in the first quarter, the Aggies led 45-6 at the half.
Jackson expanded its lead to 58 points entering the fourth quarter. JHS scored three times in the third, including once on a defensive touchdown.
Matthew Jordan played well for the Aggies in the victory. The junior quarterback threw one touchdown and ran for one touchdown.
The Jaguars' lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run in the first quarter.
Jackson also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 35-7.
With the win JHS extended its winning streak to four games.
Jackson (4-0) will play a non-conference game against Foley next week, while Sumter Central (0-3) will take on Greene County also in a non-conference game.
