Northwestern dropped their record down to 4-2 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the St. Croix Falls Saints by a score of 2-1. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

As for St. Croix Falls, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since May 10, 2024.

For St. Croix Falls' part, Faith Allram spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. Allram has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Claire Bradt was excellent, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two doubles and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Johnson, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases.

While Northwestern had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
