This season hasn't been kind to The Mamou Demons, who are still winless after their eighth game. They were dealt a 57-0 defeat at the hands of Iota on Friday. Mamou has struggled against Iota recently, as their contest on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Mamou's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 0-8. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Iota, Church Point, and South Plaquemines. As for Iota, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
Mamou will head out on the road to face off against Pine Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pine Prairie comes in on a streak of failing to score more than six points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Iota, they will be playing at home against Port Barre at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
