The Maricopa Indians can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They claimed a resounding 52-25 victory over Shandon on the road. The win was just what Maricopa needed coming off of a 50-19 loss in their prior contest.
Nathaniel Stroud had a dynamite game for Maricopa, almost dropping a triple-double on 29 points, 14 rebounds, and 9 steals. Another player making a difference was Michael Grysko, who scored 7 points along with 11 rebounds and 7 blocks.
Maricopa's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Shandon, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Valley Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Shandon will host Valley Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Maricopa will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
