Basketball Recap: Dillon Colbert Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Goose Creek Memorial

North Shore posted their biggest win since December 2, 2023 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Goose Creek Memorial Patriots with a sharp 61-38 victory. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Mustangs had established a 20 point advantage.

North Shore's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dillon Colbert, who posted eight points and eight rebounds. Those eight boards gave Colbert a new career-high. Sean Mayberry was another key player, going 5 of 7 on his way to 12 points.

North Shore smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for North Shore and bumps their season record up to 11-7. As for Goose Creek Memorial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

As for Goose Creek Memorial, they will venture away from home to square off against Summer Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
