The Parklane Academy Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 26 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 63-25 win over Tri-County Academy on the road. The win was just what Parklane Academy needed coming off of a 57-35 defeat in their prior contest.
Parklane Academy found their leader in underclassman Zoe Alford, who scored 27 points. The game was Alford's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Carlyle Carruth, who scored 13 points.
Despite the defeat, Tri-County Academy had strong showings from Houston-Rea Grantham, who scored five points, and Lynley Blackwell, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Parklane Academy now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Tri-County Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.
Parklane Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Franklin County at 12:00 p.m. on December 16th. Tri-County Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Greenville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
