Norton hasn't had much luck against Field recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers will head out to square off against the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Norton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Ravenna a 15-0 shutout on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Alyssa Messer and Skout Williams made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Messer tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Williams tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Messer has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. At bat, Messer went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one RBI, while Williams went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Williams a new career-high.
In other batting news, Addison Calo was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Dakota Graham was another key player, going 4-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Norton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ravenna only managed two.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Field made sure to put some runs up on the board against Woodridge on Monday. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Bulldogs. Considering the Falcons have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Field has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Norton, their record now sits at 7-4.
Norton suffered a grim 14-1 defeat to Field when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
