The Irondequoit Eagles were the 39-32 winner over the Spencerport Rangers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Irondequoit was outmatched by Spencerport on the road and fell 66-38.
Irondequoit's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kailey Besio, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Smith, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Irondequoit's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Spencerport, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Irondequoit will be home for the holidays to greet Brockport at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Brockport is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Spencerport, they will head out on the road to face off against Pittsford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
