Northwest took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parkway South. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Northwest in their matchups with Parkway South: they've now lost seven in a row.
Parkway South's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eddie Ahearn led the charge by scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The match was Ahearn's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Ryan Shanfeld was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
Northwest now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Parkway South, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.
Northwest will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Clair at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. St. Clair is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Parkway South, they will head out on the road to face off against MICDS at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
