The Chester Clippers and the Strath Haven Panthers squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Chester Clippers had to settle for second. They took a 28-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Chester's loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.
Chester's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jalen Harris, who rushed for 23 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 175 yards and a touchdown on only 12 passes. Daron Harris was another key contributor, picking up 74 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Chester's loss dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Strath Haven, their victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-1.
Chester does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Strath Haven will take on Imhotep Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Imhotep Charter: 7.4, Strath Haven: 13.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
