The Moore Lions''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 42-35 to Broken Arrow. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
When it comes to explaining why Moore lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cj Simon. Despite the final result, he rushed for 119 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Simon was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 66 yards. Cameron Hayes also helped out as he racked up 101 rushing yards.
Broken Arrow can attribute much of their success to Cooper Bates, who rushed for 167 yards while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.
Moore has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Broken Arrow, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
Moore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Broken Arrow will head out on the road to face off against Norman at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Norman is ranked 40th, while Broken Arrow is ranked 36th).
