Hillsboro extended the longest winning streak in Central Kansas this week by beating Smoky Valley, 20-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Haven moved up to 158 from 192 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 40-18 win over the Wildcats helped the Wildcats improve their standing.
Pratt's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Skylar Dean threw for 173 and one touchdown and Anthony Cannata had 54 yards receiving. On the ground Cannata chipped in 59 yards. Shawn Ramos helped Pratt's passing attack out by catching four balls for 52 yards.
On the ground, Kingman's Braxton Bangert has rushed for 430 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Shaq Thiessen. The Hillsboro star has 11 catches for 366 yards.
A big matchup in Central Kansas this week will be when Haven takes on Nickerson. At the moment, Mike Self's team is in seventh, while the Panthers are in second.
Hesston was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from ninth to sixth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Swathers triumphed over the Eagles 54-20.
