River Road came into Friday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victor by an 11-5 margin over Dalhart.
Alex Warren made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). Warren was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Even though Tulia couldn't quite topple Friona on Saturday, it was still a huge improvement compared to the 11-point defeat they took when the two last played. Tulia put the hurt on Friona with a sharp 13-3 victory. The win was just what Tulia needed coming off of a 28-2 loss in their prior game.
Like River Road, Tulia also got a great game from a two-way player: Roberto Martinez. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (he also only allowed one walk). Martinez was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Timmy Trevino was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. Zadrian Chavez was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
River Road's record is now 9-7. As for Tulia, their record now sits at 16-4.
