It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Arapahoe Warriors can now relate to. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chatfield on Friday.
Arapahoe's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Moynihan, who rushed for 23 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 149 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Charlie Eckhardt, who picked up 100 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Jake Jones was his usual excellent self, throwing for 261 yards and a touchdown, while also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Drew Rohlman did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 90 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Arapahoe's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Chatfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Arapahoe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chatfield will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Grandview at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Liam Szarka and Jones.
