Parish Episcopal had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.8 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They blew past the Bishop Lynch Friars 66-28. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parish Episcopal to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marcus Hanish, who rushed for 149 yards and three TDs on only 15 carries, and also picked up 51 receiving yards. Hanish's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards. Jaxon McKinney was another major influence, as he rushed for 168 yards and ran in a TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Parish Episcopal was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 473 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Another reason for the win was Parish Episcopal's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 3.5 sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Connor Corwin, Brooks Lloyd, and Nile Cail, who each picked up one sack apiece. Parish Episcopal got some further help from Corwin: he picked up a sack, made seven total tackles, and defended two passes.

Parish Episcopal's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Bishop Lynch, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
