Anthony Jeffery Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Thomson's Anthony Jeffery, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Jeffery rushed for 234 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.2 rushing touchdowns per game. Those 234 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Glenn Hills had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Jeffery it was a similar story. Jeffery picked up 38 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 31 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Spartans duked it out back in October of 2023.

A'merre Williams Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Burke County got the W thanks in part to A'Merre Williams playing the best football he has all season. Williams rushed for 148 yards and four touchdowns on only five carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Burke County pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Williams and Burke County will challenge Glenn Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Effort from Jaris Sinkfield Leads Thomson over Glenn Hills
Jaris Sinkfield produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Thomson to the win on Friday. Sinkfield picked up 101 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 62 yards.
On the year, Sinkfield has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 55.7 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 6.5 receiving yards per game.

The second Burke County player making an appearance here is Kel'Von Scott, and for good reason. He made a tackle.

Cordarius Free Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Burke County was led to victory by Cordarius Free, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Free rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
This year, Free has run in those 1 touchdown while averaging 21.3 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 9.33 rushing yards per game.
