There's no place like home for the Central Blue Devils, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 55-43 victory over East Side on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Central, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Central to victory were Malachi Thomas and Mejwad Dixon. Thomas dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds, while Dixon scored 18 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Malik Bass, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Central pushed their record up to 9-10 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for East Side, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-14.
Central will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Orange Campus presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Blue Devils in New Jersey (the Jaguars are ranked 12th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 212th). As for East Side, they will head out on the road to square off against the at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
