After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Regent Prep, The Barnsdall Panthers were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They blew past Olive 52-6 on the road. Barnsdall's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Barnsdall's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Blaine Miller, who rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown. Barnsdall also got help from Braden Byers who showed off his sure hands for 92 receiving yards.
Barnsdall's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB nine times. Leading the way was Henry Easley and his three sacks.
Barnsdall's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Olive, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
Barnsdall will look to defend their home field on October 27th against Drumright at 7:00 p.m. Drumright knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Barnsdall likes a good challenge. As for Olive, they will head out on the road to face off against Regent Prep at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Regent Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Olive in Oklahoma (Regent Prep is ranked fifth, while Olive is ranked 60th).
