Volleyball Recap: Sahuaro Has No Trouble Against Tucson High Magnet School

Sahuaro's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tucson High Magnet School Badgers. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Badgers back in March, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Sahuaro didn't let Tucson High Magnet School take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-22, 25-23.

Gage Lindsley paced Sahuaro's offense, picking up six kills. Lindsley got some help from Javier De La Ree and his 27 assists. De La Ree was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Sahuaro's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Tucson High Magnet School, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sahuaro will welcome Rincon/University at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rangers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tucson High Magnet School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Highland at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
