McMahon extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-5. They lost 26-4 to the Danbury Hatters. The Senators lost against the Hatters in their previous head to head back in April of 2025, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 3-2 score last time.
Isabella Spagnuolo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
As for Danbury, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4. With that win, they brought their scoring average up to 6.9 runs per game.
On Danbury's side, Jacqueline Marks made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). Those ten strikeouts gave Marks a new career-high. She was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Sophie O'Connell was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since April 1st. T'Aira Walters was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McMahon is set to challenge their familiar foe Ludlowe at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Danbury will square off against rival Wilton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hatters 3.9, the Warriors 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
