The Warren Bears will head out to take on the Norwalk Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Warren's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Dominguez. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bears considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Sophia Munguia
04/29/25 @ Dominguez | 6 |
04/08/25 @ Bellflower | 5 |
04/03/25 @ Lynwood | 4 |
04/01/25 vs Norwalk | 4 |
03/29/25 @ Elsinore | 3 |
Sophia Munguia was incredible, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with six runs. Those six runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bella Gonzalez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and two RBI.
Norwalk never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Firebaugh on Tuesday. They blew past the Falcons 19-5.
The team relied heavily on Jezrael Acosta, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Giselle Albidrez, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Norwalk always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Firebaugh only posted an OBP of .333.
Warren's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-12. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Norwalk, the win got them back to even at 11-11-1.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Warren hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .440. However, it's not like Norwalk struggles in that department as they've averaged .377. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Warren took their victory against Norwalk in their previous meeting on April 1st by a conclusive 19-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
