The Carrollton Cavaliers lost against the Frankenmuth Eagles back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Carrollton's rough 62-39 loss to Frankenmuth might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Carrollton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 468th, while Frankenmuth is ranked 78th).
Frankenmuth had a senior duo take command as Carson Knoll scored 21 points along with six rebounds and six steals and Thomas Conzelmann dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was Knoll's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Aiden Labissoniere was another key contributor, scoring five points.
This is the second loss in a row for Carrollton and nudges their season record down to 1-7. As for Frankenmuth, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Carrollton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bullock Creek at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Frankenmuth will be home for the holidays to greet Goodrich at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
