Baseball Recap: Cathedral Prep Comes Up Short

Cathedral Prep entered their match against Christ the King on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Crusaders came up short against the Royals, falling 26-11. If the Crusaders were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Royals when the teams met back in May of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Adrian Caban led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Caraballo, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Cathedral Prep and nudges their season record down to 6-4. As for Christ the King, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Cathedral Prep is taking a road trip to face off against Sacred Heart at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Christ the King, they will host Nazareth at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
