The Keystone Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell to Columbia 55-49. Keystone was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Columbia apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Keystone's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grant Hartley, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. The match was Hartley's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Logan Nagle was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine rebounds.
Keystone's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Columbia, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Keystone will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Firelands at 7:00 p.m. Columbia will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Oberlin at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. Oberlin comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
