The Olympia Bears will venture away from home to take on the Rogers Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Olympia came out on top against Curtis on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fourth inning. The Bears never let the Vikings get on the board and left with a 10-0 win.
Sydnee Chandler-Trent made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Chandler-Trent was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Abby Crawford was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Sydney Potvin, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.
Olympia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Rogers had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Bison as they made off with a 14-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won five matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Madison Adair (2026), who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Addison Fredericks (2027) was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Olympia's record now sits at 4-7. As for Rogers, their record is now 9-2.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Olympia hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .330. However, it's not like Rogers struggles in that department as they've averaged .351. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Olympia suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Rogers in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
