The Fairwinds Christian Knights were the 35-28 winner over the Faith Baptist School Falcons when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The New Year welcomed Fairwinds Christian with a 51-16 whooping from Faith Baptist School on Friday. Fairwinds Christian's loss keeps them winless this season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Fairwinds Christian struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Faith Baptist School pulled down 23 offensive rebounds.
Faith Baptist School can attribute much of their success to Brenna Binkley, who scored 15 points along with five assists and five steals. Hailey Conway was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Fairwinds Christian has fallen quite a ways from their 10-5 record last season and are now at 0-3. As for Faith Baptist School, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairwinds Christian will take on Faith Baptist School at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Faith Baptist School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Seaside Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seaside Christian Academy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
