Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Maranatha Baptist Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Clarence Brown, who scored 21 points. Brown has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Rush, who scored 18 points.
Meanwhile, Plato's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in December of 2023 after their sixth straight loss. They took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Summersville.
