Despite the defeat, Edmonds-Woodway saw an underclassman step up: Dj Karl scored eight points along with nine assists and six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Karl posted eight or more assists. Aiden Johansen was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Edmonds-Woodway's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Arlington, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
