The Community Christian Eagles just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Northside L Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Community Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Community Christian had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 21-point drubbing they dealt Varsity Opponent on Friday. Community Christian was the clear victor by a 73-52 margin over Varsity Opponent. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Community Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abel Parsley, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 17 points. The dominant performance also gave Parsley a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Clayton Pitcher, who went 5 for 12 to rack up 14 points and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Northside L challenged North Putnam on Thursday. Northside L took a 54-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Putnam.
Community Christian will have to contain JEFFREY WHEELER as he made an impact in Northside L's last game. He dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 boards. BEN HEASTON was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.
Even though they lost, Northside L smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.
Community Christian's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points over those games. As for Northside L, their loss dropped their record down to 15-15.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Community Christian has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 32.9 boards per game. However, it's not like Northside L struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.5 rebounds.
