The Brockway Rovers had to endure an 11-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They really took it to West Forest for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-39 victory on the road. Brockway's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Brockway found their leader in underclassman Caleb Daugherty, who scored 21 points along with three steals. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Reese Yahner, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Brockway's win bumped their record up to 1-5. As for West Forest, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Brockway's road trip will continue as they head out to face Brookville at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th. Brookville is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. West Forest will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Redbank Valley at 7:30 p.m. on January 16, 2024.
