The West Jefferson Roughriders will be home for the holidays to greet the Southeastern Local Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. West Jefferson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 580th, while Southeastern Local is ranked 61st).
Last Saturday, West Jefferson ended up a good deal behind Greeneview and lost 48-34. West Jefferson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Southeastern Local put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Northeastern for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-17 victory at home. That 54-17 margin sets a new team best for Southeastern Local this season.
West Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Southeastern Local, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
West Jefferson didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Southeastern Local in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 58-54 victory.
