The Snow Canyon Warriors and the Elko Indians will face off at 5:15 p.m. on December 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Snow Canyon's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Riverton. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Snow Canyon has scored all season.
Drey Smith put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Kelsch, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Elko unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 59-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Boulder City. While losing is never fun, Elko can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Boulder City is ranked fifth).
Snow Canyon's loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3. As for Elko, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
