Softball Recap: Tecumseh Sets Scoring Season-High Against Greenon

Tecumseh had lost six games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 4-9 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Greenon Knights as they made off with a 19-11 win. The Arrows' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Greenon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. Even if they couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

For Greenon's part, Madelyn Diller was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Lilly Kelley, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tecumseh will challenge Benjamin Logan at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenon, they will face off against West Liberty-Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
