Berea's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Burgin Bulldogs 18-2. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won four games by 15 runs or more so far this season.

Berea has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Burgin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Berea will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Knott County Central at 4:15 p.m. As for Burgin, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Powell County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pirates have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.86 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
