After two games on the road, Western Reserve is heading back home. They will take on the Chaney Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
On Saturday, Western Reserve was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 32-31 to South Range. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Western Reserve has scored all season.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Chaney on the road against Valley Christian on Wednesday as the team secured a 50-11 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Chaney.
Chaney found their leader in underclassman Alyssa Brown, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least a third of Chaney's points. Alexandria Pete was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Western Reserve's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Chaney, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-8.
