The Bolton Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Trezevant Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Bolton has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with six straight defeats, while Trezevant will come in with five straight wins.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Wednesday. Bolton lost 13-3 to Fayette Ware.

Myles Runnels was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Bolton's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 1-11 when he doesn't). Alex Cottrell was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases.
Trezevant came out on top against Sheffield on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run first inning. The Bears blew past the Knights 12-4. Considering the Bears have won seven matchups by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Devin Parker was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three stolen bases, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Rickey Wright, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Trezevant always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .842. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .556 or higher in nine consecutive contests.
Trezevant's victory bumped their record up to 9-6-1. As for Bolton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Bolton has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Trezevant struggles in that department as they've been averaging 18.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Bolton took their win against Trezevant when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-6 score. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
