Canton not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 10, 2024. Everything went their way against the Medway Mustangs as they made off with a 10-0 win. The Bulldogs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Chris Pirrera tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Canton let Shane Kelleher and Andrew Gillis run wild. Kelleher scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3, while Gillis scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Kelleher also brought in three RBI, marking his first of the season. Liam Connolly was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Canton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Medway only posted an OBP of .250.

Canton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. As for Medway, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

Canton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-1 loss against North Attleborough on the 9th. As for Medway, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-0 win against Norton on the 8th.
