It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals had no problem doing just that on Friday. They strolled past Maranatha with points to spare, taking the game 25-7. The win was familiar territory for Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary who now have three in a row.
Angel Cevallos continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 250 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Cevallos has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last three times he's played.
Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 9-3 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.2 points per game. As for Maranatha, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2.
Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary will head out on the road to face off against Westminster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Maranatha does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
