The Healdsburg Greyhounds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 64-46 bruising from Rancho Cotate. Healdsburg has struggled against the Cougars recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Adam Pengel, who scored 26 points along with two steals for Rancho Cotate. Pengel is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last six games he's played. Decimus Shaw was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Healdsburg dropped their record down to 3-17 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Rancho Cotate, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-13.
Healdsburg will head out on the road to face off against the Lobos at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rancho Cotate, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m.
