Aldine and Benjamin Davis are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2021, but likely not for long. The Mustangs will take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Aldine is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games.
Aldine's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Westfield by a score of 3-0.
Not much got past Alexander Martinez, who gave up just five hits and racked up six Ks to keep Westfield off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Rodrigo Teran, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Alberto Gonzalez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Aldine hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in eight consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Benjamin Davis took on Nimitz on Thursday. The Panthers blew past the Cougars 14-1. That 13-run margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.
Adan Ramirez made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Benjamin Davis is 2-1 when Ramirez allows one or fewer earned runs, but 5-13 otherwise. Ramirez was also solid in the batter's box, getting three hits from his three at bats.
In other batting news, Darwin Virtudazo was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Rashon Enard, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Aldine's record is now 15-5-3. As for Benjamin Davis, their record now sits at 7-14.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Aldine has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Benjamin Davis struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Aldine was able to grind out a solid win over Benjamin Davis in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, winning 9-5. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
