It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Fremont Pathfinders had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Tigers 59-29 at home. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Fremont as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Fremont found their leader in underclassman Darryl Gates, who scored 14 points. Peter Torres was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Fremont's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-18. As for Lincoln, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-17.
Fremont will take on Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Jordan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 games -- so hopefully Fremont likes a good challenge. Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
