7A District 6 recap November 13, 2013
Lake Nona and East River played the closest game in 7A District 6 this week, with Lake Nona eventually emerging with a 40-35 victory. TUCKER ISRAEL threw for 348 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 27 yards in the win.
Liberty led the league in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on Poinciana.
Lake Nona's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground WADZAIRE BLANC chipped in 120 yards. RYAN SOUSA helped Lake Nona's passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 86 yards.
He was 22-35 with 2 interceptions.
DEONDRE FARRIER was the best wideout in the league this week as Anthony Paradiso's team topped the Falcons. FARRIER tallied 7 receptions for 131 yards. SOUSA helped Lake Nona's passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 86 yards.
Leading 7A District 6 in both passing and receiving yards, Lake Nona's ISRAEL and SOUSA have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback ISRAEL has thrown for 3,499 yards this season, while SOUSA has 89 catches for 1,526 yards. Gateway's Isaiha Wharton leads the league in rushing yards with 892.
The Chargers made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,068 from 9,614. The advance stemmed from a 56-26 victory over the Eagles last week.
