Belvidere has gone 9-1 against Jefferson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Bucs will challenge the J-Hawks at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Belvidere has three straight wins, Jefferson has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
If Belvidere beats Jefferson with 11 runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Bucs were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Rockford Auburn on Monday.
Chris Medina made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Medina was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Paul Stark, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Nash, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Belvidere kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Jefferson fell victim to Hononegah and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 7-0.
Jefferson saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rodney Rodriguez, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.
Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Belvidere, their record now sits at 5-17.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Belvidere has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Jefferson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Belvidere was able to grind out a solid victory over Jefferson in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 6-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bucs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
