A Season-Best Effort from Ethan Guerra Leads Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial
Ethan Guerra produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North to the win on Friday. Guerra rushed for 245 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023. His longest rush was for an incredible 79 yards.
The victory for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Guerra and Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North will host Weslaco East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jayden Paluseo Turns in Another Game with at Least Three Passing Touchdowns
Flour Bluff was led to victory by Jayden Paluseo, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Paluseo wasn't messing around, throwing for 342 yards and five touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushing for 50 yards and a touchdown. The contest was his 15th straight with three or more passing touchdowns dating back to last season.
The win for Flour Bluff keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Paluseo and Flour Bluff will face off against Donna North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Andre Mimms' Big Game Leads Flour Bluff over Rivera
Flour Bluff picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Andre Mimms. Nobody could stop Mimms as he picked up 172 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
This year, Mimms has caught 12 touchdowns while averaging 115 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 47 receiving yards per game.
Gamescore: 29.78
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Andrew Charlebois stepped things up a notch to give Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial the 'W'. Charlebois was dynamite, rushing for 106 yards and two touchdowns.
For the season, Charlebois has run in 16 touchdowns while averaging 157.4 rushing yards per game.

Margarito Pompa Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Margarito Pompa of Weslaco East. Pompa rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
For the year, Pompa has averaged 30.6 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had two rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to five.
