The Peak to Peak Pumas are taking a road trip to challenge the Denver Christian Thunder at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Peak to Peak can't be too worried about heading out to take on Denver Christian: they just beat Kent Denver at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Pumas were the clear victors by a 12-5 margin over the Sun Devils on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Pumas in their matchups with the Sun Devils: they've now won three in a row.

Owen Branscum was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-5. Peak to Peak is 3-1 when Branscum posts three or more hits, but 3-5 otherwise. Gray McCune also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Peak to Peak kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Denver Christian). They put the hurt on The Academy with a sharp 13-3 victory on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Thunder considering their two-run performance the game before.
Mason Reilly was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Denver Christian got a massive performance out of Trey Speir, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Speir has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was James Lord, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
The win got Peak to Peak back to even at 6-6. As for Denver Christian, their record is now 9-3.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Peak to Peak has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. However, it's not like Denver Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
