The Mt. Gilead Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They took a serious blow against Northmor, falling 72-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Mt. Gilead has suffered since December 5, 2023.
Northmor's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hunter Fulk, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fulk has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Grant Bentley, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Mt. Gilead dropped their record down to 3-9 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Northmor, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing East Knox the next time they take the court. Mt. Gilead will host East Knox at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Northmor will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
